Outline Description: This contract was part of the regeneration of the Eastside of Nottingham.  CMEC’s remit was for the demolition and asbestos removal of existing structures-the former Boots warehouse and a bar/restaurant which was built out from the railway bridge, which was adjacent to a canal.

One of the buildings on the far side of the site had listed building status; this meant that CMEC worked with the scaffold company to design and erect the propping system to stabilize the Façade and building, this has remained on site.

CMEC Collaborated with Laing O’Rourke to provide research information to enable further projects to be “zero waste” sites.

CMEC received the award for “Added Value & Waste Minimisation Partner Award”, we were also nominated for a Health & Safety Award, but lost out to Terminal 5.
