Grass Roots Knowledge, Pride, Ownership & Dedication

CMEC’s founder is a local person, whose family has lived in the area for generations, growing up on what is now Lenton Industrial Estate. He feels quite passionately about Nottingham and the area he grew up in and he has concentrated on ‘cleaning up’ not only CMEC areas on the Industrial Estate but also encouraging other Companies to do the same. This is an ethos that is carried through onto the projects that CMEC undertake, ensuring that all work is handled sympathetically, professionally and with thought to the future.

Since its formation 10 years ago CMEC has grown and developed into one of the Midlands most respected demolition and environmental companies. Today it is still owned and managed by the founder who, having grown up within the industry ensures that his grass roots knowledge and his core values of pride, ownership and dedication are carried through to the whole team. CMEC through its founder is a leader in the demolition and environmental industry ensuring that integrity has always been a key element of the business.

Safe, Technical & Modern
CMEC undertake work with precision and planning ensuring a safe and efficient service. We have a multi disciplined team of experts experienced in environmental, remediation, engineering, dismantling and traditional demolition, material handling and the latest technology. We are committed to high level of site safety and standards, constantly investing in new machinery and equipment ensuring we have the right tools for the job.

Sustainability & Recycling
Sustainability and recycling always have been key words for CMEC and nothing is more frustrating than the recent trends of ‘throw-away’ materials. We have always strongly believed in ensuring everything, which can be, is salvaged and recycled. This led to the CMEC Waste Transfer Station being opened in October 2007, which has enabled us to handle all waste internally and know exactly how it is dealt with. Our aim is to recycle at least 70% of the materials that pass through the Transfer Station, thus ensuring less is going to landfill, which has been met and surpassed during the four first months of operation.

Training & Reinvestment
CMEC is a pro-active member of CAGE Greater Nottingham which as an organisation aims to go into schools to promote the construction industry to 14-16 year olds and also to offer vocational experience by opening the door to practical work experience. CMEC fully encompasses their mission statement encouraging such experiences for new entrants and existing labour force ensuring equal opportunities throughout, regular appraisals and staff reviews, training and staff development.

Workforce
CMEC directly employs its own workforce, utilising their own experience and knowledge wherever possible which teamed with the Company’s training strategy provides a happy and well motivated team.
