Waste Disposal
Waste Management is the collection, transportation, processing, recycling and disposal of waste materials. It is carried out in an effort to reduce the effect on human health, local aesthetics or amenities and a reduction in waste to landfill. In recent times the emphasis has been to reduce waste materials’ effect on the natural world and the environment and to recover resources from them.
CMEC has recently opened a waste transfer station, based in Nottingham that can accept household, commercial and industrial waste with the added facility of asbestos disposal.
As a company we are actively working towards the reduction of waste going to landfill and believe that where possible waste should be recycled and put back into the manufacturing cycle.
CMEC can either provide several bins on site for waste segregation at source if that is your preferred method. Alternatively if you do not have the time or space on site, we can provide a single skip which is then sorted and segregated at our transfer station. If required we can supply the client with a report outlining the results of the segregation and what happened to the contents of their skip. This could then be used to prove that they are reducing the amount of waste going to landfill and so the possible impact on the environment.
CMEC Demolition are licensed waste carriers with the Environment Agency which enables us to move all waste / materials off site without the added expense of outside hauliers.
